Look Out Bob Vila

For Christmas Aunt Ginny and Uncle Mark were generous enough to get Connor his first tools. It included a tool belt, a pager (for those urgent jobs), hammer, pliers, wrench, screwdriver, and an electric jig saw.

Needless to say, he has been playing with them ever since. The obsession started before Christmas when Connor refused to go in the car when we ran errands. So Aaron incentivized him with seeing the tools at his workbench. Within days, it became a ritual that we HAD to see Daddy's tools every time we went down stairs (literally EVERY time). His favorite tools are the hammer, power drill, and tape measurer. Till this day, before we can get in the car, we have to see the "driivvl" (Connor's pronunciation of drill) and "amma" (aka hammer).

Since his new presents arrived, he has applied his craftmanship to working on the roof of his playhouse. We are not sure exactly where he got this idea, but he actually acts like he is building the house. He grabs a chair or a stool and stands on it to reach the roof.

To add to his obssession, we recently bought him a power drill to go with his set. To our suprise, the drill has all the actual features of a real drill, including; a removeable battery pack, gear switching, dual speed, and forward/reverse directions. It's so cool that Dad even plays with it. Aaron is hoping the tools take the place of Connor's broom/vacuum obsession.

Check out the video, leave a comment :).
